The Assisen and High Feast of John the Baptist in Lucerne
The highlight of the year for the Order of Malta is the celebration of the feast of our Patron Saint John the Baptist with the simultaneous welcoming of new members. Before that, the General Assembly is held. On 22 and 23 June, more than 250 people took part in this event in Lucerne, knights and ladies of the Order as well as active members of the hospital service. The solemn highlight was the Pontifical Mass celebrated by Nuncio Thomas E. Gullickson on Sunday in the Jesuit Church.
